So, I'm experiencing pre-term NaNo-labor.  I've been fighting with my characters for days now -- They are clawing at the inside of my skull, trying to get out.

Is anyone else having this problem?  What do you do to distract yourself for a few weeks until you can actually start writing?

You can always outline.

They never said how detailed we can get, I  don't think... so go ahead and get those chars out!

They're clawing in me too.  I've got a main character who I find is talking through me sometimes.  I am just thinking of a scene I might want to include, and suddenly I am her, narrating the scene from her point of view.  November had better come quick, or she may completely take me over... :P

Generally I'm not much of an outliner...  I don't even profile my characters(GASP!).  But today (at work) I was seized by that irresistible urge once again, so I tried it and  7 pages later they seem to be sleeping.  Sooo, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the suggestion.
