I've spent the last fifteen mintues trying to update my word count -- every single time, I end up with a 'page cannot be found' error and my word count doesn't update.  I've already stopped perusing the forums there due to the incredibly slow speeds, but if I can't even update my word count, then the site is completely useless to me.  Arg!

Is the website expected to improve?  If so, is it supposed to be soon?  If not (or if not soon), is there any other way we can submit our word counts?

(It's a sad thing, but if they don't improve the website next year, I doubt I'll even bother to officially sign up -- I'll still write, but I don't need the darn certificate and I certainly don't need the stress...)

heh, what impeccable timing.
On the opening page of the Nano site it says that this very evening, in fact sometime between a half an hour ago till an hour and a half from now the site should be down for about half an hour.  they're planning on adding another server to the site in an attempt to speed things up a bit, as far as my understanding goes.

Last night, I was reading the forums when I noticed that none of the topics had updated for the past five hours.  FIVE HOURS!!  That's decades in Nano time!  Today seems to be much better.

There's always a huge rush at first with everyone and their little brother getting signed up.  It's usually much better by the end of the first week when a chunk of the faint-of-heart will beg off.
